An effective, wearable cooling garment must be elastic in both directions and allow for moisture transport . Also, the garment design must allow for maximum dexterity and not interfere with the movement of the shoulders, hips, or neck.

By using liquid CO2, which has a much lower viscosity than water, tubing thickness can be minimized allowing for maximum torso mobility.

Extended cooling can be obtained either through a larger CO2 tank or a quick change-out of the empty tank. System weight versus cooling rates/duration can be viewed on the performance table.
Carbon dioxide is essentially harmless and can be found in carbonated beverages. Uses of CO2 include fire extinguishers, blanket gas for welding, and even respiration. In comparison, most useful refrigerants are toxic, carcinogenic, or flammable.
The garment is inaudible at 15 feet when it is covered.
